Children are requested to return clearly marked order forms and the correct money in an envelope marked with the child's name and class to their class teacher.

The school counsellor is available 1 day a fortnight to assist students, teachers and parents to improve student learning outcomes.  School Counsellor access can be arranged by the School Principal.

Absence From School

It is an expectation students attend school regularly. This means all children between the ages of six and fifteen are legally required to attend school. Attendance is recorded daily and a 'roll call' is usually conducted before the first lesson of the day begins.

For the benefit of all children, parents or carers should ensure their child attends school regularly. Any absence from school should be explained in writing within seven days of the absence. Similarly, the school will inform parents promptly of any unexplained absences or suspected truancy.

Administration of Prescribed medication

When a medical practitioner has prescribed medication that must be administered during the school day, parents should inform the school Principal of this need. It is the parent's responsibility to ensure that the medication and any consumables necessary for its administration are provided to the school in a clearly marked container which includes the name of the child, medication type and dosage, and administration time. The school should be advised in writing of any changes in medication regimes.

Bus Travel

Hunter Valley Buses provide a service to and from school for students living in surrounding areas.  Bus travel is provided free of charge for students in Kindergarten to Year 2. Students in Year 3 and above are eligible for free bus travel if they satisfy the criteria for  free bus travel.

Changes to Student Information

It is extremely important that all contact details, including, change of address, telephone contact numbers, emergency contacts and custody arrangements are reported to the school Office as soon as possible.

Enrolment Procedures

Students transferring from another NSW Public School should request a "Transfer Certificate" from current school and present it to the Office upon requesting enrolment.  Students from interstate or private schools should provide the school with a contact name from their previous school.  Enrolments are generally finalised within a day or two of contacting the school.

Lost Property

Lost property is displayed during assemblies each day. Unclaimed property is kept in the canteen area for a period of one month and then used in the second hand uniform pool. Please ensure your child's name is clearly marked on all property.
